Any other use than the intended use, such as permanent manual operation with the drive de-energised, as well as any modification to the product, is not permitted. 4 Slimdrive EMD / EMD-F … Fundamental safety precautions Safety notices àà The mandatory installation, maintenance and repair work must be performed by properly trained personnel authorised by GEZE. àà The country-specific laws and regulations are to be observed during safety-related tests. àà If unauthorised changes are made to the system, GEZE cannot be held liable in any way whatsoever for any resulting damage, and the statement of approval for use in escape and rescue routes is no longer valid. àà GEZE does not accept any warranty for combinations with third-party products. àà Furthermore, only original GEZE parts may be used for repair and maintenance work. àà The connection to the mains voltage must be made by a professional electrician. Perform the power connection and equipment earth conductor test in accordance with VDE 0100 Part 610. àà Use an on-site automatic cut-out as the line-side disconnecting device, the dimensioning of which is matched to the type, cross-section, type of routing and ambient conditions of the on-site power supply circuit. This switches off the function of the electric strike. The electric strike latch can be moved and the door can be opened as often as required. Switching contact The microswitch - often also known as the door status contact or feedback contact – is activated via an activating slide from the locking-in lock latch. The electric strike thus acts as a switch and can indicate the status of the door (open/closed). Correct position of the lock latch in the electric strike latch is required to ensure faultless functioning. Latch guide The latch guide guides the latch to the level of the strike plate. This means that a recess in the profile for flush closing doors is no longer necessary. The right strike plate must be aligned to the specific installation situation. I.S.T.Kingfix latch guide The I.S.T.Kingfix latch guide introduced with the A4000 series has a build depth of only 12 mm to the mounting line and is thus compatible with the standard competitors.
